From a question to a discovery that makes sense
Kumilo combines the selected age level, language and question in a clearly structured response. Not every question needs the same format, so a discovery may be visual, text-based or told as a story.

Five levels with one shared goal: understanding
Parents choose the level that fits their child. The age ranges are product levels, not diagnoses; children develop in different ways.

Very little text, concrete words and a strongly visual approach.
First discoveries
Short sentences, a few key points and simple why-and-how connections.
Discover
Visual explanations, concrete examples and clear relationships between ideas.

More mechanisms, cause and effect, and technical terms explained in plain language.

A more focused tutor tone with greater depth, context and honest limits.
Parents stay in control
Child profiles, not child accounts
Children do not need their own email address or login identity. A parent account manages profiles, settings and permissions for the family.
- Nickname, age level and language for each profile
- Separate permissions for voice and image input
- Protected parent area with a PIN and optional biometrics
- Parent approval can be withdrawn; profiles and the account can be deleted
Designed with safeguards
Safety is a system, not a slogan
Kumilo combines fixed rules, technical checks and moderated AI outputs. No system is error-free, so sensitive situations are limited, redirected in age-appropriate language or handed back to a trusted adult.

Kumilo supports German, English, Spanish, French, Turkish, Arabic and many more language variants. Additional interface areas are reviewed before each release, so Kumilo does not yet claim that every part of the app is fully localised in all languages.
