Before and after generation
Text and image inputs are checked before paid generation. The generated response also passes rules and moderation before it appears in a child profile.

Protection for photos
Uploads are checked for file type and size, re-encoded and stripped of metadata. The production architecture rejects people, documents, screens, recognised text and likely private information from photo-grounded generation.
Data-minimising processing
Kumilo does not store a raw photo as a discovery attachment and does not store raw voice recordings or transcripts. Successful structured discoveries and generated images may be kept within the stated retention periods.
Adults remain important
Kumilo does not replace parents, teachers, doctors or emergency services. For personal, medical or urgent situations, a child should involve a trusted adult.
